Curriculum  

The AMPED curriculum requires a minimum of 27 credit hours of combined core courses and technical electives. The program provides experiential learning opportunities through a core design-build-test project, complemented by courses in medical product development fundamentals and advanced concepts. The AMPED curriculum is described briefly below and a link to the full curriculum is at the bottom of this page.

Core curriculum 

The AMPED program includes a required core curriculum comprised of the courses listed below.

Technical Electives: 

AMPED students can round out their curriculum with elective courses from across the University of Michigan. Students are encouraged to choose electives that strengthen their knowledge and skills in key areas that are relevant to their career plans, either in a technical discipline or more broadly in medical product development.
